Audrey Gunn has joined the Research Services department at the Mississippi State University Libraries as Assistant Professor/Distance Education Librarian. Audrey earned her MA in Library and Information Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Madison in May 2018. During grad school, she worked as a reference assistant in UW-Madison's undergraduate and agriculture libraries and completed usability testing for the library website. She obtained her BA from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, where she studied English Literature and German.
Corinne Kennedy is from Atlanta, GA and joined the Mississippi State University Libraries as the Humanities Librarian in January 2018 where she also serves as the liaison to the English and Philosophy/ Religion departments. She graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2007 with a BFA in Art History. Corinne went on to receive her MLIS from the University of Southern Mississippi in May 2013. She was employed in the Architecture Library at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech) from 2010–2017. Corinne is a member of the Mississippi Library Association, the Mississippi Genealogical Society, and the Alliance of Digital Humanities Organizations.
Preston Salisbury joined the Mississippi State University Libraries in August 2018 as Assistant Professor/Monographic Cataloging. Prior to joining MSU, he spent three years at Hinds Community College, first as Reference Librarian and then as Cataloging Librarian, and most recently one year as cataloger at Austin Public Library in Austin, Texas. Preston received his MLIS from the University of Southern Mississippi and his BA in Liberal Arts from Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL.
Jessica Perkins Smith is now the university archivist at Mississippi State University Libraries. She came to MSU in 2016 as a manuscripts archivist and began her new role this summer. Prior to joining MSU Libraries, Perkins Smith was a project archivist at the Amistad Research Center in New Orleans, LA, where she processed African-American STEM collections. She earned a BA in history from Millsaps College and a her MLIS from Louisiana State University. Smith's research interests include African American history, civil rights in Mississippi, athletic history and digitization.
